Garden Nights: Alaya and other films by Nathaniel Dorsky

Camden Art Centre will present a small-scale outdoor screening of silent 16mm films by American experimental filmmaker Nathaniel Dorsky.

£5 (full price)

£4 (concessions)

The programme centres on Alaya, a film which left a deep impression on artist Olga Balema after she saw Dorsky present it some years ago. In the film sand, photographed in a variety of different places and conditions, becomes a means of interacting with the granular surface of the film stock, intermingling image and medium. Alaya will be shown alongside three other films made by Dorsky over the last two decades: The VisitationFebruary, and Avraham. The programme has been selected through a dialogue between Nathaniel Dorsky, Olga Balema and curator Will Rose.
