Book Launch: 'I Fear My Pain Interests You' - Camden Art Centre

Camden Art Centre, in collaboration with Verso Books, are pleased to host the launch of 'I Fear My Pain Interests You', a novel by Stephanie LaCava.

To mark the book’s launch, LaCava will read and discuss various themes from the novel, such as fame, culture and connections, bodies, and breakdowns, with artist and writer Susan Finlay.

LaCava will also be present to sign copies of the book, which will be available at a discounted price on the occasion of the launch.

 

 

The Artists

The Artists

Stephanie LaCava (left) is a writer based in New York City. Her work has appeared in Harper’s, Artforum, Texte zur Kunst, the New York Times, the New York Review of Books, Vogue, and Interview. Her debut novel, The Superrationals, was published by Semiotext(e) in 2020.

Susan Finlay (right) is an artist and writer. She is the author of three poetry pamphlets and five novels, most recently The Jacques Lacan Foundation. Her short texts and poems have been included in group exhibitions and performances at the Royal Academy of Arts, the Whitechapel Gallery, and Camden Arts Centre in London, and published in Worms, MAP, POETRY, The Stinging Fly and by Ackerman Daly. Residencies include Unlisted, Austin, the Freud Museum, London, and Callie’s, Berlin. She lives in the UK and Berlin.
