Family Artist-in-Residence: Rita Evans - Camden Art Centre

Taking up residence in the Drawing Studio, artist Rita Evans led Family Takeover, our weekly drop-in programme for families, leading creative activities inspired by the exhibitions Peter Fraser: Mathematics and Yuko Mohri: Voluta.

Rita’s sculptural installations are sensorial social experiences that interconnect people and their movement together with elements of the environment, materials, light and sound. The part-architecture part-sculptures are also percussive and wind based instruments that are highly sensitive and foreground the body and its connection to others when linked by the common task of playing them.

Family Takeover

Sundays, 2.00 – 4.30pm
Every Sunday throughout the exhibitions, families can drop-in to the Drawing Studio and galleries to take part in free, creative and fun activities led by our Family Artist-in-Residence Rita Evans. Taking inspiration from the exhibitions Peter Fraser: Mathematics and Yuko Mohri: Voluta families are invited to take part in a series of activities drawing on key themes from the exhibitions, working with light, sound and nature.
Join us for sessions where we will work with a range of materials and equipment to create light compositions, ‘conduct’ the galleries, and search for the rhythm in everyday objects.

Family Takeover is suitable for children of all ages and materials are provided free of charge, but donations are invited.
