Insights - Camden Art Centre

Camden Art Centre runs Insights to inspire and encourage the next generation of artists as they prepare for studying or working in the arts

The project is designed to help potential students (aged 17+) investigate further education in the arts; discussing interests and concerns, offering tips on portfolios and approaches to art, and providing support and career guidance in a practical sense.

During October 2012 our Education team visits schools to discuss study options in the visual arts and all students involved in these were also welcome to join the Insights group.

Insights Winter School runs in December, in collaboration with Central Saint Martins School of Arts and Design. This four-day programme is based both at Camden Art Centre and at CSM where we continue to help students think about a future in the arts through practical activities using the CSM facilities, portfolio sessions, family Q&A and a host of presentations from current students and tutors.

In January we run Insights Progression Sessions which follow up on the work at the Winter School.

This project is part of Transmitter.
