Volunteer - Camden Art Centre

We are currently not accepting applications for Volunteers, please keep an eye on this page for when applications re-open.

Volunteer Gallery Assistants assist our paid Visitor Assistants in looking after our gallery spaces and the precious works of art on display. Most importantly, our volunteers talk with visitors and try to engage the public with the exhibitions, events and learning programme at Camden Art Centre. As a charity, we rely on the generous support of our patrons, donors and Volunteers to allow us to continue putting on a cutting-edge programme of exhibitions and activities that are entirely accessible and free to visit.

If they wish, our volunteers can lead guided tours, attend workshops and seminars hosted by Camden Art Centre’s staff, attend our events and meet like-minded people. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided, but an interest in contemporary art and a passion for talking about art is desirable.

For any questions about the Volunteer programme at Camden Art Centre, please email our Front of House Coordinator.

Volunteering at Camden Art Centre

Camden Art invests in its Volunteers in so many different ways: supporting and nurturing them by providing opportunities for personal growth and learning; regular information on job opportunities both within and outside the organisation; seminars; gallery tours; friendship and companionship. Mark, Volunteer Gallery Assistant at Camden Art Centre since 2016

Camden Art Centre designs a full-fledge immersive experience for Volunteers, including professional workshops and social events. The genuine concern for the personal and professional development of individual Volunteers boosts the sense of belonging to the Camden Art Centre family.
