Alison Marchant draws out the latent poetry from images featuring the interiors of derelict country mansions and workers cottages, using photographs originally made to record the listed buildings awaiting restoration.
Each photograph is enlarged to the limits of definition, creating an illusory space for the imagination to inhabit. The exhibition toured Southampton City Art Gallery (June/July) and Cambridge Darkroom (September/October).
