Paul Winstanley showed a small group of brand new paintings arising from his residency at Kettle's Yard, Cambridge.
These rigorously painted views of unpopulated Fenland landscapes, based on snapshots taken from a moving car, were imbued with a compelling presence. While still using photographs as their starting point, these new works presented a radical change from Winstanley’s previous monochromatic urban interiors.
