Poetry Night: Rachel Long and Caroline Bird

For the third in this series of nights taking place in the Camden Arts Centre Café, poets Rachel Long and Caroline Bird present readings of their work followed by an open mic session, including readings produced by participants on our Intimate Chaos Poetry Course, responding to and inspired by the Crone Music exhibition.

Free, but booking is essential.

Rachel Long is a poet and the founder of Octavia, a poetry collective for Women of Colour, who are housed at Southbank Centre, London. Her work has featured in Magma, The London Magazine, and Modern Poetry in Translation. She is co-tutor on the Barbican Young Poets programme, and Poetry Fellow of University of Hertfordshire.

Caroline Bird is a poet and playwright. She has been shortlisted for the TS Eliot Award 2017, the Ted Hughes Award 2017, and the Dylan Thomas Prize twice in 2008 and 2010. She was a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize 2014. She has also won an Eric Gregory Award (2002) and the Foyle Young Poet of the Year award two years running (1999, 2000). Caroline has had five collections of poetry published by Carcanet.
