The Botanical Mind: Exhibition Activities - Camden Art Centre

A series of activities accompanying The Botanical Mind exhibition.

Camden Art Centre commissioned five artists to create a series of exhibition activities alongside their own work and themes present in The Botanical Mind. These explore foraging, sound, language, drawing and meditation, and enable us to connect with the works in the exhibition and the world around us.

> Chance, Sequence and Magic Spells

Delfina Munoz de Toro asks us to think about the senses of sound and sight as things which exist together, considering rhythm and pattern, colour and melody.

> The Plants are Singing

Gemma Anderson’s activity prompts us to look closely at the plants within our green spaces using drawing as a research practice to enhance our understanding of plant life and species.

> Drawing as a Way of Knowing – Garden Drawing Method

Rosalind Fowler has created an Autumn foraging guide with a plant connection meditation, and an immune boosting oxymel recipe for us as we head into the Winter months.

> All is Leaf

We commissioned artist Lateisha Davine Lovelace Hanson to create a meditative activity, in which they invite us to find a safe, warm space and join them on a journey to the freedom space.
