VOICES: BURST LDN x MACC - Camden Art Centre

BURST LDN and MACC host an evening of experimental performance, mischief, and communal activities.

Working with artists and musicians across street art, sculpture, and U.K. hip-hop, BURST LDN x MACC will create an interdisciplinary, multi-cultural ‘hub’ that seeks to resonate with the Nuyorican Poetry Cafes found in the Lower East Side of New York in the 1980s. The event will present performances alongside artworks, inviting audiences to engage with Martin Wong’s multi-vocal, diverse, community-driven practice through the lens of emergent London-based artists and musicians.

Organised by the students of MA Curating and Collections at Chelsea College of Arts, in partnership with Camden Art Centre.

The Artists

The Artists

Co-founded in 2020 by Bianca and Louiza, BURST LDN is an art and music platform based in the U.K. They work to provide a dynamic space for creatives to showcase their talents through thoughtfully curated events that combine, but aren’t limited to, visual art exhibitions and live music performances. BURST LDN is committed to fostering networking, collaboration, and freedom of expression through its events and amplifying the voices of creatives within the community.

MACC is a curatorial collective from Chelsea College of Arts. We are interested in the capacities of public programming to foster community and social engagement.
