Studio Takeover
Sundays, 2.00 – 4.30pm
Every Sunday throughout the exhibitions families can drop-in to the Drawing Studio and galleries to take part in free, creative and fun activities led by our family artist-in-residence Nicole Morris. Taking inspiration from Joachim Koester's exhibition In the Face of Overwhelming Forces, families will have the opportunity to creatively consider movement, gesture and memory through drawing, film and mixed media. Studio Takeover is an updated format of Make & Do, our artist-led family workshop programme.
Suitable for all ages and materials are provided free of charge, but donations are invited.
The space is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us if you have any additional access requirements.
Nicole Morris makes work in video and sculpture. Central to her practice is the exploration of how spaces are navigated. Objects and films are approached as both durational and tactile, creating a discourse between filmic space and the actual space of viewing. Recent solo exhibitions include The National Gallery, Prague (2016) and a forthcoming show at Space In Between, London (2017). Group exhibitions include Open Space, Baltimore (2015); Jerwood Visual Arts, London (2014) and V22, London (2013). Read more.
